The SI hat

Woven by hand using an off-loom needle technique, the SI hat is one of three very unique hats designed to be part of a limited series of three.  The weaving on this hat is a relaxed design combining several shades of neutral threads with a dash of orange. The hat is signed.  The original design is completely unique and will never be replicated.  The word SI was hand-embroidered using the ancient “couche” technique.  The hat foundation is an upcycled baseball cap that was stripped of its original machine embroidery.  The stripping process, the hand woven technique and the use of natural hand-dyed linen will create a natural worn look that will evolve over time.  The hat is a standard size cap with adjustable Velcro strap.
